A Few Thoughts, Now and Then

Over the years, I’ve worked in a number of institutions — some large, some obscure, some that appear polished until you peek behind the curtain. I’ve sat on both sides of the table: leading, teaching, advising, learning. And in all that time, one thing has remained remarkably consistent — people often know what the problems are, but find themselves unable or unwilling to say them aloud.
This space is for what often goes unsaid.
I’ll be writing occasionally — sometimes weekly, sometimes less — about systems, culture, professional inertia, and the subtle trade-offs we make in our working lives. Some reflections will be drawn from experience, others simply from observation. I won’t be naming names, and I have no interest in airing grievances. But I am interested in clarity, in structure, and in what happens when good people try to work inside systems that weren’t designed for them.
If any of that resonates, you’re welcome to stay.
